Scouts Take Aim On A Shooting Badge

Members of Boy Scout Troop 62 of Stepney, recently received instruction and completed the requirements for their ‘Rifle Shooting Merit Badge at Arms & Munitions Indoor Shooting Range in Monroe.

In order to receive their badge, the scouts must participate in safety classes and successfully shoot 2 sets of 5 targets, using a .22 single shot rifle. The first set must have 3 shots in each target that can be covered by a quarter.

The second set of 5 targets must have the scouts shooting five shots into each target.  These five shots must also be collectively covered by a quarter.
